Jill Morse, MPH, MBA, is the Director of Business Development and Strategy at the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ). She has over 15 years of experience working with NGOs, governments, and social enterprises across Southern Africa, including Zambia, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Eswatini, Zimbabwe, and Angola. Her expertise lies in strengthening organizations to deliver high-quality strategic programs and research that result in positive social impact.

Jill is also a dedicated supporter of the Lower Zambezi, regularly visiting the park and advocating for its conservation. She has served as board member of Conservation Lower Zambezi since 2019 and as Board Chair since 2022.

Dipak Parmar is a native Zambian, born in the vibrant town of Livingstone. He was educated in the United Kingdom, attending boarding school and later university, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in England. He brings extensive business experience from both the UK and Zambia.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

In his role at CLZ, Dipak sees his primary responsibility as ensuring the organisation’s continued financial viability and stability. He is committed to promoting good governance, accountability, robust internal controls, and the highest ethical standards.

CLZ offers him the perfect platform to contribute to the protection and preservation of Zambia’s treasured wildlife— a cause he has been passionate about throughout his life.

Carrol, PageSorcerer,  has been a member of the Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ) Board since 2017, serving as Board Secretary since 2021. Born in Zambia, Carrol has a deep-rooted connection to the region and a lifelong passion for preserving its natural heritage.

She holds a BSc in Information Technology and Computer Science and has over 30 years of experience in IT support and training, along with more than 25 years as a web designer. Carrol collaborates closely with the Wildlife Producers Association, where she has played a key role in designing a specialised database to analyse data provided by wildlife conservation stakeholders. This innovative tool offers critical insights on ungulate species selection, stocking rates, and ecological and economic assessments, helping to guide sustainable wildlife management practices.

With a background in engineering, international travel, guiding and tourism, Australian born, Ian Stevenson arrived in the Lower Zambezi in 1997 where he began his involvement in wildlife protection. Now, with over 25 years-experience in protected area management, Ian leads one of Zambia’s first and most reputable NGOs, Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ). Ian also worked for African Parks for six years running protected areas in Ethiopia and northern Zambia before returning to CLZ in 2011. Ian is a veteran pilot, qualified in wildlife immobilsation and has GIS and aerial survey experience.

Under Ian’s leadership CLZ has grown from 12 to over 95 employees and from supporting only foot patrols to now supporting specialised Dog, Rapid Response, Marine, Intelligence and Judicial Units, an extensive environmental programme working over 3,500 pupils from 65 schools and a growing community programme combating the continuous human-wildlife conflict, all having a positive impact on the protection of the Lower Zambezi.

Ian has made Zambia home and is humbled by the Zambian men and women who continue to put their lives on the line to protect the region’s natural resources and wildlife.

Francesca, Kula Consultancy, Lusaka, has been working in the non-profit sector in Zambia for 9 years, specializing in project management, fundraising, administration, and human resources. She has provided expertise to organizations in the conservation, education, and community development sectors across Zambia, demonstrating strong skills in grant management, donor relations, and program oversight. In addition to this, Francesca has supported strategic growth and planning for numerous initiatives.

Most recently, she co-designed an organizational mentorship program and served as the project lead for Time + Tide Foundation and Oak Foundation's Catalysing Growth through Peer Mentorship project in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. In this role, she has driven the project’s development and played a key capacity-building role for two beneficiary organizations, applying her expertise in project management and fundraising.

Grant Cumings is the owner of Chiawa Camp and Old Mondoro, Lower Zambezi, and established the very first safari camp in the Lower Zambezi National Park.

He is a co-founder, a past Chair, and Trustee of CLZ.

Grant has several decades of experience in tourism and conservation. He is well known and outspoken, lobbying for improved wildlife management and tourism practices.

Dr. Stephen Mwansa, is a highly skilled negotiator and corporate ambassador, known for building strong relationships with both public and private sectors. With a proven track record in increasing organizational performance, Dr. Mwansa excels at identifying, planning, and implementing strategies, as well as prioritizing and streamlining services. He consistently drives objectives from conception to completion, even under tight budgets and strict deadlines, at both management and board levels.

Dr. Mwansa holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences (With Merit) from the University of Zambia, a Master of Business Administration (International) from Edith Cowan University in Perth, Australia, and a Doctor of Business Administration from Binary University in Malaysia. He has also completed additional coursework in Strategic Management, Creative Speech Writing, Board Risk Management, Innovation Policy Management, Strategy Execution with Balanced Scorecard, and Safety in Pesticide Management.

With over 10 years of senior public service management experience (2011–2021), Dr. Mwansa served as Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Republican Vice President, as well as in the Ministries of Commerce, Trade and Industry; Information and Broadcasting Services; and Tourism and Arts. Additionally, he has 29 years of experience in Zambia's agricultural sector, working across all farmer groups in the supply of inputs.

Through SBM Investments Limited, his family business, Dr. Mwansa has accumulated experience in the fashion industry, digital printing, and advertising in Zambia. He successfully pioneered a locally incorporated advertising and printing company. His board leadership spans agribusiness, crop and livestock farming, motor trade, real estate, events promotion, agro-processing, horticultural exports, and change management.

Currently, he serves as a Service Level Consultant with the Tourism Council of Zambia and holds board positions with the North Luangwa Management Board (through the Frankfurt Zoological Society) and Conservation Lower Zambezi.

Dr. Mwansa’s areas of expertise include leadership, management, and corporate governance in both the public and private sectors. He is skilled in speech writing, agricultural business planning and management, mindset change and human development training, business negotiations, public financial management, environmental protection with a focus on pesticide management, strategic and general business management, project financial forecasting, and property development. His extensive experience also spans agribusiness, the motor trade, real estate, tourism, and wildlife policy management, and board leadership across diverse industries.

Dr. Mwansa is a member of the Golden Key Society for Academic Distinction, President of the Rotary Club of Chilanga, a member of the 41 Club (Ex Round Table Members), the Institute of Directors of Zambia, the Global Corporate Governance Forum, UNZA Agri-Fellows, and Round Table Zambia (Life Honorary Member).

Riccardo, Kanyemba Lodge, Lower Zambezi, was born in Zambia and completed his primary education in Kitwe, followed by secondary education and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in Italy. Despite his academic journey abroad, Zambia has always felt like home to him.

In 1999, after spending a couple of short seasons in the Luangwa Valley, Riccardo began building Kanyemba Lodge, which opened its doors in 2001. He later expanded the property by adding Kanyemba Island Bushcamp.

Riccardo has been actively involved in protecting the Lower Zambezi area, working both directly and in collaboration with Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ). He has served on the CLZ Board for the past 23 years, including 8 years as Chairman and 4 years as Vice-Chair.

In addition to his conservation efforts, Riccardo is a board member of Chirundu Mtendere Mission Hospital, where he serves as a technical advisor, focusing on infrastructure development and water sanitation.

Kanyemba Lodge also operates a small carpentry workshop that supplies furniture to various lodges and camps in the Lower Zambezi. Additionally, Riccardo oversees a preschool that provides early education and essential food supplements to vulnerable children aged 3 to 6 years.

Known for his practical approach and pragmatic contributions, Riccardo is recognized for his no-nonsense attitude in discussions surrounding community development and conservation.

Juri, Buya Bamba, Lusaka, was born in Zambia and educated in South Africa. He began his career in the hospitality industry, managing and guiding with the Royal Zambezi Canoeing operation in the Lower Zambezi during the mid to late 1990s, where he developed a deep connection with the wilderness of the region. During this time, Juri also supported conservation efforts alongside the David Shepherd Foundation, joining numerous boat and road patrols into the Lower Zambezi National Park.

He now owns a smallholding in the Eastern Game Management Area (GMA), where he actively practices and promotes his conservation values. Based in Lusaka, Juri is an agri-businessman employing 800 Zambian nationals across various operations, including potato seed and commercial farming, handling, packaging, storage, logistics, and frozen French fry processing for supply throughout the region.

Zambia remains Juri's home, where his family has deep roots. He is committed to conserving and protecting the country's natural resources for future generations.

Diana Chilambwe, LLB, AHCZ, ASCZ is an Advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia, with a seven-year track record of advancing justice-based approaches to wildlife and forest conservation. She currently serves as the Programme Manager for the Criminal Justice Programme at Wildlife Crime Prevention (WCP) Zambia, where she leads a legal team dedicated to strengthening institutional responses to illegal wildlife and timber trafficking.

Since joining the conservation sector in 2018, Diana has worked closely with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife, the National Prosecution Authority, and multiple law enforcement agencies, the judiciary and protected area partners. Her work focuses on cross-agency coordination and prosecutorial support for environmental crimes. She is instrumental in building the capacity of law enforcement actors, raising awareness on the effects of illegal wildlife and timber trade among judicial actors, fostering interagency cooperation, and using data and casework trends to inform legal interventions.

Diana brings to the board deep insights into governance, compliance, environmental justice, and the legal frameworks critical to ecosystem protection. Her ability to navigate complex legal landscapes and align conservation goals with institutional mandates positions her as a contributor to high-level conservation strategy, risk oversight, and policy alignment.

Anita Balletto was born and raised in Kenya and has been active in the safari industry, conservation, and logistics in East and Southern Africa for over three decades. With a BSc in Zoology from Leeds University, her professional life began in Tanzania's tourism and hospitality industry, where she started out as a guide leading safaris through the Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, Tarangire, and Manyara. By the end of her 10 years in Arusha, she was Country Director for Abercrombie & Kent in Tanzania.

After a brief period back in Kenya, Anita moved to Zambia in 2007 to set up operations for Abercrombie & Kent there. Once established—and seeing the opportunities Zambia had to offer and the need for "her" story to be told—Anita diversified, founding A to Z Solutions in 2013 as the first dedicated film fixing company in Zambia. She has played a key role in numerous blue-chip productions showcasing Zambia's wildlife and landscapes, with clients including the BBC, Netflix, Apple TV, and Sphere at Madison Square Garden, to name a few.

Her passion and dedication to the conservation and preservation of Africa's wildlife led Anita to serve on several boards, including Conservation Lower Zambezi, where she was a board member from 2008 to 2022—including four years as Board Chair—before taking a brief sabbatical.

Anita is excited to be joining the board once again.

Kyle Branch is the Director of Classic Zambia Safaris, leading a portfolio of authentic, owner-run camps in Zambia’s most remote wilderness areas. With a background of marketing, operations, guiding and management, he combines commercial insight with deep bush experience and a strong conservation focus, having worked closely with Musekese Conservation, African Parks and Frankfurt Zoological Society within key protected areas. Kyle has worked in the Lower Zambezi and other national parks of Zambia for 13 years and has been in the hospitality industry for 19 years.
